Join Us to Help a Child in Need this Holiday Season!
Do you know that there are many children in underprivileged countries that do not have proper medical supplies? Even simple everyday things that we take for granted, like soap, sunscreen, and a comb or brush are not available to many of these children.
We invite you to join us, together with Bella’s Young Foodies, in working with PROJECT C.U.R.E., a non-profit organization that provides quality donated medical supplies to more than 120 medically under-served countries around the world. With the help of many that have the same passion and commitment to helping those around the world, PROJECT C.U.R.E. continues to Deliver Health and Hope to the World.
How can you help?
BYOU and Bella’s Young Foodies (the new cooking show for kids!) are collecting and preparing C.U.R.E. Kits for Kids (see below) to send overseas to children in need. To get involved, please review the list of items below and select 10 of the items listed that you would like to donate (along with a note, message, artwork, etc. to a child if you would like). Once your kit is ready, here are your options:
- Join us this Saturday, December 17, from 10am-1:30 pm at the Project C.U.R.E. Warehouse on 10377 East Geddes Avenue, Centennial, CO 80112 (MAP) to drop off your kit(s) and help us prepare other kits for kids. You’ll get a tour and hear about your chance to be a Youth Goodwill Ambassador in 2012!
- Drop your kit(s) at the BYOU “Be Your Own You” store in the Arapahoe Center Building, 6770 S. Dawson Circle, Centennial, CO 80112 MAP (if possible BEFORE Dec. 17) and we will take them to Project C.U.R.E. for you
- Mail your kit(s) to BYOU at the address above – any kits arriving after Dec 17 will still be taken to Project C.U.R.E. to be prepared and shipped overseas – their warehouse is very close to our store
Please encourage others to do the same and collect as many kits as you can! There is a child out there who will greatly appreciate your love and attention! Below is info and the list of items needed.

What are C.U.R.E. Kits for Kids?
C.U.R.E Kits for Kids are shoebox-sized packages of basic home healthcare and hygiene supplies, which are prepared by individuals and groups in the USA for delivery to young families in developing nations around the world. Many families in the developing world do not have access to everyday health supplies like pain reliever, sunscreen, and antibiotic ointment. Through C.U.R.E. Kits for Kids, you can help provide these essential items to families and children, just like yours or those you know, in less fortunate countries throughout the world.
Who benefits?
By filling a C.U.R.E Kit for Kids, you will provide a family in the developing world with a small “medicine cabinet” that can help keep their kids healthy and happy.
The Kits include items such as burn ointment, antibiotic and anti-itch ointment, soap and bandages. These are essentials for parents caring for active children in any part of the world, and they are even more important in developing nations where healthcare is at times unreliable, unsafe, or completely unavailable.
Supply List:
Pain reliever (e.g. ibuprofen, acetaminophen)
Antibiotic ointment (e.g. Neosporin)
Dressing tape
Comb or brush
Facial tissues
Bug bite lotion
Burn ointment
Box of adhesive bandages
Elastic bandage
Antibacterial soap, hand sanitizer or wipes
Sunscreen
Safety pins
Body soap or wash
Lice shampoo (e.g. Nix, RID, or a generic that contains pyrethrum)
1% cortisone cream
Sling
Tweezers
Blunt scissors
Please obtain 10 different items from the list for each C.U.R.E. Kit for Kids. If you have more than 10 items, please use them toward another box. You can collect your items in a shoe box or bag. Make sure you collect only new, clean, and unused items. C.U.R.E. Kits for Kids are shoebox-sized boxes. Please keep this in mind when purchasing supplies. Ten travel-sized items may fit more easily than 10 full-sized items.
On behalf of some of the world’s less fortunate children, PROJECT C.U.R.E., BYOU, and Bella’s Young Foodies thanks you for your contribution to the mission of “Delivering Health and Hope to the World.” For more information, please visit: www.projectcure.org
